Microgaming and Intertops Casino part Ways

Software Giant Microgaming parts ways with the leading Intertops Casino group after 11 years. Get an update on all the details right here.

Late last month it was announced that Intertops Casino would expand into the US Market with the intention of offering a dual portfolio of casinos which would service US and Non-US residents respectively on different software platforms. It was stated that the group would and run its “GREEN” casino on the Microgaming platform while adding its “RED” casino powered by US friendly RTG (Real Time Gaming) software.

Shortly after the news broke however, Microgaming announced that it would part ways with the famous Intertops Casino after an 11 year partnership. The decision was largely due to the casinos decision to re-enter the US market which the software provider will not serve after taking a decision to exit the market shortly after the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was instituted in the US. In addition, Microgaming termed the Intertops plans as a conflict of interest, although statements from both sides would have one believe that the split was an amicable one.

The question then became of the players at Intertops Green Casino powered by Microgaming?

It would seem that new player will need to visit Intertops new RTG powered RED casino and existing players will be able to gamble at the GREEN casino for the foreseeable future.
